About Natasha
Natasha is passionate about creating spaces where people can explore their innermost thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. Her dream is to leave the world a little more healed than she found it through counseling and advocacy. Natasha acknowledges that therapy can be a place for processing painful experiences and emotional work in pursuit of change. At the same time, it can be a space of connection through laughter and compassion. Before launching her private practice, she completed her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William & Mary.
Throughout her program, Natasha served as a volunteer counselor with a LGBTQIA+ suicide hotline. She provides queer affirming care, and she believes that therapy is a safe place to explore gender and sexual identity. Her experience in crisis counseling informs her approach in dismantling the stigma that can be associated with talking about mental health support. This stigma often disproportionately impacts communities of color, and Natasha welcomes conversations about race, power, and privilege. She knows that asking for support and scheduling a therapy session are acts of courage.
While working within Baltimore City Public Schools as a special educator, she earned a master’s from Johns Hopkins University. This degree provides her with a foundation of supporting neurodivergent individuals with their personal and professional goals. In addition to her time in the classroom, Natasha completed an internship in an addiction recovery center and has experience with substance use work.
Before starting her private practice, Natasha supported the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center in Washington, DC as an acquisition analyst. Her experience procuring machine learning technology led her to become curious about tasks that are inherently human, such as facilitating a therapeutic space. In addition to supporting the Department of Defense as a contractor, she comes from a military family. Natasha welcomes veterans and family members into her practice.
She welcomes the opportunity to work with adults through individual, group, and couples counseling sessions. Natasha’s clients often have goals related to improving relationships, processing trauma, and managing depression and anxiety symptoms. Her core values are compassion, hard work, and humor. In her personal life, she enjoys painting, running, and spoiling her pit bull. She looks forward to getting to know you and supporting you in your goals!
